This month’s speaker will be our own Eve Datisman. Eve is an avid reader and former school librarian. She will be sharing amazing reading ideas in her presentation: "Spring the Trap: Books That Won’t Let You Go!"
Our speaker will be local naturalist and author Robert Steelquist who will be talking about his new book, “Northwest Coast Explorer.” He will have copies with him for sale for $25 (cash or check). The book is also available at Port Book & News in Port Angeles.
Our guest speaker will be Allison Brekke who is head of the department of economic development for the City of Port Angeles.
Our guest speaker was Kathy Estes, director of the North Olympic History Center. Kathy talked about the 2019 Hands on History Project. We have eleven students participating in Grades 6-12 who are researching topics they chose about Clallam County History.
All of the topics have surprising relevance to today and many have significant national and international significance. There will an invitation to attend the public presentations on April 7, 2019.
Our guest speaker will be Luanne Hinkle, Executive Director of Olympic Peninsula Humane Society. We will also hold an election of officers for CCSRA for the 2019 – 2020 year.

Our guest speaker will be Melissa Williams, Executive Director of Feiro Marine Life Center. We will be invited to visit the center after the luncheon if we would like to go.
We have an opportunity to find out more about the perks of being a Washington School Retirees' Association (WSSRA and CCSRA) member. Jeff Burgess from Association Member Benefits Advisors (AMBA) will give a short presentation about membership benefits and will stay after the meeting to answer any extra questions.
Our main guest speaker will be Mike Soiseth from CCH Individualized Support Services, an organization that serves adults with life-long disabilities in Clallam and Jefferson Counties.

Our speaker will be David Brownell, Tribal Historic Preservation Officer of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe. Here is what he wrote about his subject:
"A presentation of ethnographic and archaeological research on sxʷčkʷíyəŋ, one of the ancestral villages of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe that stood at Washington Harbor. The presentation will feature artifacts, maps, and historical photos. This village, at least 500 years old at the time of European contact, was intrinsically linked to the Sequim Prairie: the S’Klallam name, pronounced “sh-ch-kwung,” is translated as “a good place to shoot” and is the origin of the name “Sequim.”
We will also have as our guest Dr. Alan Burke, WSSRA Executive Director.
On October 3, 2020, it was decided that due to Covid19, "all 2020-2021 CCSRA meetings will be done by the 3 methods listed below. Just choose what will be best for you….no pressure, we just want to keep everyone safe and allow each person to make their own choice.
"Lora Brabant will be sending out CCSRA Agendas and the ZOOM login information by email (thank you Marcia Homer-our little helper bee!).

Our meeting this month features Carrie Cobb, Crescent School Spanish teacher. She will tell us about the life changing experience we helped provide for the Crescent School Spanish Classes. After navigating Covid shutdowns and travel restrictions, the class went to Hawaii and helped with turtle recovery efforts. Carrie shared their many experiences with us at noon, during our regular meeting at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 Del Guzzi Dr, Port Angeles, WA.
Joe DeScala, the founder of 4PA, presented the impact that his organization, 4PA, is having on the community of Port Angeles.
